About me

I am an attorney from Southern California. In June 2011, I moved to Oxfordshire, England with my attorney husband and two dogs.  (Insert attorney jokes here).  I love anything food related, whether it be eating, cooking, dining, farmers markets, cook books, cooking classes, food festivals or cookery stores. In my spare time I obsessively read mystery/crime/vampire novels. Don't judge. In a dream world I would be a food/travel writer, real estate mogul and restaurateur.  

Why move to England?

This is the question I get most often. Most people can't fathom why we would move from sunny Southern California to England. You can read my detailed explanation for the move here. Essentially, after a trip to Europe in September 2010, my husband and I decided we wanted to experience life outside the office. This would never happen if we stayed living/working in the Los Angeles area due to the demands of our jobs. Besides, we wanted to see the world before we retired. Since my husband has lots of family in England and Ireland we decided why not see if he could get a job in the UK. Let's just say that things worked out better than we could have imagined.
